About DBS Bank

The Development Bank of Singapore was established in 1968 by the Singapore government to finance industrial development. DBS evolved into a full service commercial bank and expanded across Asia. Under CEO Piyush Gupta from 2009, DBS invested heavily in digital transformation. DBS has been named the worlds best digital bank multiple times. The bank launched Digibank in India, an entirely mobile bank that attracted 100,000 customers in its first 90 days. DBS has over 300 billion in assets and operates in 18 markets. DBS acquired ANBs wealth management business and Lakshmi Vilas Bank in India. DBS pioneered the concept of invisible banking, where banking is embedded in everyday services and apps.
